What has been the biggest surprise about the college experience? It is up to you to learn the inner workings of anything you are a part of because at the end of the day, you are mainly on your own. If you are attending a commuter school, you should join any academic club or greek organization that you are interested in to assist in forming new and important relationships.
Most challenging coursework in college? Math has never been my strong suit, therefore those were most difficult for me. It’s important to show up to any tutoring that your professor may offer and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Accomplishment most proud of? Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Honors in just 2 years, and afterwards being accepted into the MSHIA cohort graduate program at FIU. My hard work also helped me land a great job at Baptist Health South Florida.
Can you provide any advice for current ISPA students? You’ll be fine wherever you go as long as you put in the work and focus on yourself. Also, use RaiseMe to your advantage.
Can you tell us how ISPA prepared you for success in college and in life? The amazing faculty reminded me exactly of what I said above
I paid for college with… I used scholarship funds collected through RaiseMe and the Miami-Dade Fair & Exposition scholarship. I was in the fortunate position for my parents to cover the rest.
Fondest memory from High School? Partaking in the multicultural show every year, as well as the relationships I was able to form during my time there.
