Transportation Overview

ISPA students and parents with questions about your M-DCPS transportation assignment should first check inside your M-DCPS portal. Click the orange box for Personal Information and then click the top right tab for Bus Info to see your assigned service. You will need metro pass service assigned before the school can request to load funds on a K-12 Discount Fare Easy Card (metro pass) for you.

For those new to M-DCPS or who need a Portal PIN, school staff is required to verify parent identification in person.  See Naty in the Main Office.

Your correct official address of residence must be on file in the Student Information System before submitting transportation requests. To update your official address of record, school staff is required to verify proof of residence. Acceptable documents include a deed, lease, or rental agreement. Contact Ms. Calvo in the Attendance Office.

Incoming freshmen with newly assigned K-12 cards will receive them on campus after the school year begins. Students, record your name in permanent marker on the back of your card. Keep record of the 20-digit card number (take a photo with your phone). Store it securely in a wallet or lanyard case. If lost, stolen, or damaged, replacements can be purchased at Government Center for $2. Make sure to purchase the K-12 Discount Fare card (it will say this on the back in green) and not the regular full-fare card (which is white on the back). Replacements must be activated (used at least once) before School Board funds can be loaded. Email a photo of the back of your replacement card to natyfajardo@dadeschools.net or Jbryson@dadeschools.net. Only the student may use the card and only for rides between school and home on schooldays. The card can be used for Metro Rail and for Metro Bus, including transfers.

  • Always include your student's name, grade, and ID number when emailing ISPA transportation team members: Ms. Bryson ,Ms. Naty , or Ms. Navarro .
  • Whenever possible, include a photo of the back of your metro card
